At Chadash Global Center, we believe that every dream matters — no matter how big or how far it may seem. That’s why we’re giving teenagers across Uganda the space, support, and tools to draw out their future — quite literally.
Through our “Draw Your Dream” initiative, we’ve seen a wave of creativity and purpose sweep through schools and communities. Armed with paper, colors, and a safe environment to express themselves, teenagers are putting their dreams on display: doctors healing villages, engineers designing smart cities, farmers building sustainable agriculture, and leaders standing up for justice.

Drawing More Than Pictures
These are not just drawings — they are visions. They reflect the aspirations of a generation that is determined to rise above challenges like poverty, violence, and limited access to resources. In classrooms, community halls, and even under trees, Ugandan teens are sketching what they want their future to look like.
Some draw hospitals with their names on the buildings. Others design futuristic technology or entire schools they hope to build one day. Behind each image is a powerful story — and at Chadash Global Center, we’re listening.
Healing, Expression, and Empowerment
Art at Chadash isn’t just about creativity — it’s about healing. Many of these young people carry hidden trauma from tough life experiences. Drawing offers them an outlet to process emotions and rebuild hope. With guidance from our mentors and counselors, teens gain not just skills, but also voice.
I want to be a pilot and fly people to places they’ve never dreamed of,” says Joel, a 15-year-old from Jinja. “When I draw my dream plane, I feel like I’m already flying.”

Bridging Dreams to Reality
Thanks to generous supporters and volunteers, Chadash Global Center provides materials, safe spaces, and mentorship. But more than that, we’re working to build pathways where dreams don’t stay on paper — they come alive through education, training, and opportunity.
Our long-term vision is to nurture these dreamers into doers: launching small business programs, vocational skills workshops, leadership training, and youth exchange projects. Their future starts with a drawing — but it doesn’t end there.
At Chadash, we’re not just helping teenagers draw dreams. We’re helping them live them.
