The meaning Behind our name
Chadash, in Hebrew and Greek, means "to be new," "to renew," "to repair," and "to make anew." To renew is to transform something deteriorated or depleted back to its former state, effectively restoring its original freshness and vitality.
It is the act of breathing life back into what has faded, mending the broken, and reclaiming the lost—so that it stands once more, as if newly made.
We serve a God whose heart is for restoration and renewal—both in our lives and the world around us. He empowers us to participate in His transformative work, bringing hope, healing, and restoration to a wounded world.
The concept of renewal deeply resonates with the mission of Chadash Global Centre, aligning with the biblical understanding of restoration and transformation. In Scripture, renewal signifies a return to God’s intended design—a process of healing and restoration following brokenness, loss, or depletion. This profound truth is mirrored in the work of Chadash Global Centre, which seeks to renew the lives of children and young adults who have endured the devastating impacts of sexual abuse, exploitation, and gender-based violence. Through a comprehensive approach—including shelter, psychotherapy, education, and medical care—the organization strives to restore survivors to wholeness, reclaiming their dignity and potential. Just as the Bible speaks of a “new creation,” Chadash Global Centre is committed to facilitating profound transformation, enabling survivors to heal, overcome trauma, and build fulfilling lives.
This principle of renewal extends beyond individual healing to encompass the broader community. By establishing educational institutions, providing community-based support services, and prioritizing mental health, Chadash Global Centre works to renew the fabric of society, preventing future abuse and fostering a culture of healing and resilience. The organization’s dedication to research and advocacy further reinforces this commitment, driving evidence-based strategies and influencing policies to create lasting change.
In essence, Chadash Global Centre embodies the biblical vision of restoration—offering hope and transformation to those who have experienced profound brokenness and working to build a renewed, just, and flourishing world.
